The Colorado State Rams did a lot right on Saturday.
And it all resulted in a 78-42 rout of the San Jose State Spartans. It was the Rams first road win of the season.
The 42 points allowed were a season-low for CSU. And the Rams got plenty of offense.
After the San Jose St. hit an opening three-pointer, the Rams reeled off 10 straight points and were in control. They led by as many as 41 points in the second half.
Forward Dischon Thomas led CSU with 14 points. Guard Isaiah Rivera added 12 points.
CSU held San Jose St. to 27.8% from the field (15-54).
Former CSU head coach Tim Miles is now the head coach at San Jose St. The Rams have still never lost to San Jose St., moving their all-time record to 23-0 against the Spartans, 10-0 in the Bay Area.
The Rams are now 13-1 and 3-1 in Mountain West Conference play. San Jose St. is 7-7, 1-1.
Up next for CSU, a home game against New Mexico on Wednesday, January 19 at 8 p.m. MST.
