Avs Turn On The Jets, Blow By Winnipeg, 7-1

If any NHL team wonders if the Avs top line is still elite, that team can ask the Winnipeg Jets.

The Avs line of Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog and Mikko Rantanen combined for 12 points in a 7-1 blowout on Thursday night at Ball Arena.

Landeskog recorded a hat trick and added an assist, MacKinnon scored a goal and had four assists and Rantanen chipped a goal and a pair of assists.

That is amazing production.

After falling behind 1-0 at the 2:56 mark of the first period, Colorado turned on the offense.

Nazem Kadri put home a goal to tie the game at one with 3:40 left in the first. Then, the Avs scored three goals in the second period and three more in the third to make it a rout.

The Avalanche has won three straight games and eight of its last nine going back to December 6.
