The #20 Colorado State Rams finally got to return to the court and play a game.
And the Rams picked up right where they left off 24 days ago in a 67-59 win over the Air Force Falcons in Tuesday night's Mountain West Conference opener at Moby Arena in Fort Collins.
Due to COVID protocol issues, the Rams hadn't played a game since defeating Mississippi State on December 11.
After starting slowly against the Falcons, the Rams cranked things up with a 14-0 run and took a 30-21 lead with under three minutes to go in the first half.
CSU pushed a five point halftime lead to 43-33 on Isaiah Stevens' two free throws with 16:41 to go.
But Air Force rallied to tie the game at 48 with 10:58 remaining. CSU scored the net six points and never gave up the lead again.
Isaiah Stevens led CSU with 15 points. David Roddy had 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Colorado State is now 11-0 and 1-0 in Mountain West conference play. Air Force is 8-5, 1-1.
CSU plays at Boise State on Friday, January 8. Tip-off is set for 8:30 p.m. MST.
