The beat goes on for the Colorado Avalanche.
The Avs again cranked up the offense and beat the expansion Seattle Kraken, 7-3, at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle. It was the first-ever meeting between the two teams.
Cale Makar and Andre Burakovsky each score two goals and Erik Johnson and Nichola Aube-Kubel added one each to help the Avs win their fourth straight game.
Colorado built a 7-0 lead thanks to two goals in the first period and then four more in the second.
During their four-game winning streak, the Avs have scored 24 goals.
Before the game, the Avs announced they had given head coach Jared Bednar a two-year contract extension through the 2023-2024 season.
