The Colorado Rockies did not tender contracts to outfielder David Dahl, catcher Tony Wolters and pitcher Chi Chi Gonzalez. Those three players now become free agents and can sign with any team.
Dahl, an All-Star in 2019, missed significant time in 2020 with a shoulder injury. In 24 games, he hit .183 with no home runs and nine RBIs. The Rockies selected Dahl with the 10th overall pick in the 2012 draft.
Wolters broke into the Major Leagues in 2016 and turned in five seasons with the Rockies. In 2020, Wolters hit .230 with no home runs and eight RBIs.
Gonzalez signed with the Rockies as a minor league free agent in December 2018 and pitched in 14 games in 2019 and six in an injury-shortened 2020 campaign. He was originally a first round pick of the Texas Rangers in 2013.
