Chalk up another win for Team Purple in Colorado Rockies intrasquad action on Tuesday night at Coors Field.
Purple beat Pinstripes, 7-2, behind first baseman Josh Fuentes and starter Jon Gray.
Fuentes got the scoring going in the top of the first with a two-out, two-run triple off the left field wall. He added an RBI single in the third inning.
Fuentes finished 2-3 with a run scored and three RBIs.
Gray turned in a quality three innings, allowing one run on two hits with no walks and three strikeouts. He threw 43 pitches.
After scoring two runs in the first, Purple added four more in the third off of Pinstripes starter Kyle Freeland and Yency Almonte. Freeland finished the night giving up four runs in two-and-two-thirds innings. He also gave up three hits and walked two while striking out a pair.
