Comfort And Calm From The Legendary Vin Scully

If life were as it usually is, and as it should be, we would be counting the hours to Opening Day.

But for now, there is no baseball.

In these craziest of times, we find comfort in the people we love and in dreaming of the things we find familiar.

Like the crack of the bat.

Like the crisp home whites against the green grass.

Like the bellow of a called strike three in the most crucial of situations.

Like the utter jubilation of the home crowd after a walk-off home run.

Vin Scully called Dodgers games from 1950-2016, an astounding 67 seasons, and is universally considered to be the best baseball broadcaster of all-time.

This week, he spoke with columnist Bill Plaschke of the Los Angeles Times.

Just hearing Mr. Scully's voice makes you believe that everything will soon be right again.
