It turns out the Denver Broncos lost twice on Sunday.

They fell to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 26-24, on Josh Lambo's 33-yard field goal on the final play of the game.

They also lost linebacker Bradley Chubb for the rest of the season with a partially torn ACL.

Chubb was hurt during the game but returned to continue playing.

Monday, however, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said Chubb woke up and his knee was hurting.

An MRI revealed the injury.

"He was as surprised as anybody this morning," Fangio said.

Chubb will have surgery and miss the rest of the season. Fango said the team will consider its options to replace Chubb before making a roster move.

Chubb was the Broncos first round draft pick, fifth overall, out of North Carolina State in the 2018 draft. He recorded 60 tackles and 12 sacks while playing in all 16 games last year.

The Broncos are 0-4 and play at the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday, October 6. Coverage of the game starts at 8 a.m. MDT on KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM.

Check out Fangio's comments on Chubb's injury and the Broncos plan moving forward. Coach spoke with reporters at his weekly Monday press conference at UCHealth Training Center.
