It took a bit for the Colorado Rockies to crank up the offense on Friday night.

Outfielder Charlie Blackmon doubled in Ryan McMahon to put the Rockies up 2-1. Blackmon had three hits and drove in a pair of runs.
Rockies outfielder Ian Desmond kept it a 2-1 game in the eighth when he robbed Lewis Brinson of a home run.
They added four insurance runs in the ninth. Tony Wolters, Blackmon, Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story all delivered RBI hits to enable the Rockies to put the game away.
Starter German Marquez was terrific, allowing one run on two hits with three walks and seven strikeouts in six innings of work.
Game three on Saturday will feature Tyler Anderson of the Rockies going against the Marlins Pablo Lopez. Coverage starts with Rockies All Access at 3 p.m. MDT on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
