The Buffs were down. In a big way.
But they weren't out.
And when the dust settled, they were victorious over New Mexico, 78-75, thanks to a furious rally on Tuesday night at The Pit in Albuquerque.
CU trailed by 17 points in the first half. They were down 14 points early in the second half.
But they battled all the way back. McKinley Wright's basket with 4:35 left put CU on top 66-64 and the Buffs held on for their sixth straight win.
Wright finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and three assists. He was one of six BUffs who scored eight points or more. Tyler Bey had a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Colorado is now 8-1. New Mexico slips to 4-4.
