Rockies Beat Braves With Three-Run Ninth, 5-3

It took the Colorado Rockies a little time but they got the offense going and rallied to defeat the ATlanta Braves, 5-3 at SunTrust Park.

Trailing 3-2 heading to the ninth, the Rockies put three runs on the board. Ryan McMahon's pinch-hit RBI single tied the game at three and then David Dahl came through with a two-run single to give the Rockies the lead.

Rockies starter Jon Gray went seven innings and gave up three runs on five hits with one walk and nine strikeouts.

Seunghwan Oh pitched a scoreless eighth to get the win (1-0) and Wade Davis recorded his 33rd save.

The Rockies and Braves go at it in game two of the four-game series on Friday. Coverage starts at 4:55 p.m. MDT on KOA NewsRadio 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
