At first glance, it simply looked like "that guy" had taken a ball meant for a young fan during the Cubs-Cardinals game at Wrigley Field in Chicago on Sunday.
The cool thing is the Cubs took care of the kid with an autographed ball from infielder Javy Baez. Way to go, Cubbies.
But David Kaplan of NBC Sports Chicago reported a key element to the story. The adult fan who took the ball meant for the kid had already helped the young fan get a ball.
But some people were not convinced.
Can we all agree that when something is meant for a kid, the best thing is to let the kid have it?
Doesn't seem all that difficult.
