Well that was quick.
After a stunning name change to the International House of Burgers, the restaurant is once again the International House of Pancakes.
And, the restaurant change is claiming it "faked" the name change "to promote our new burgers." The chain never took pancakes off its menu and claims the change to IHOb was never going to permanent. Instead, it claims it was simply a way to get people talking about the change.
Now, IHOP is offering a special promotion on a short stack of pancakes in order to promote the its 60th birthday on July 17.
The change to IHOb was met with a firestorm of criticism on social media.
Clever marketing stunt or quick recovery...either way, IHOP is back.
