Firefighters are continuing to patrol and dry mop around the Shawnee Peak fire's perimeter in Park County. They're trying to secure firelines on the east and southeast sides of the fire. There is a chance of thunderstorms in the area today that could bring gusty winds. No buildings are threatened, and there have been no evacuations. The town of Shawnee sits about four miles from the fire.
