CU Pushes Oregon St. To OT Before Falling, 69-66

The #22 Colorado Buffaloes women's basketball team was oh so close to pulling off a big win on the road.

But Oregon St. had a little too much and got by CU, 69-66 in overtime, on Monday in Corvallis.

The Buffs trailed, 47-44, after three quarters but battled back and led 64-62 on Frida Formann's free throw with 12 seconds to go in regulation.

But Ellie Mack tied the game for the Beavers with seven seconds remaining and the teams went to overtime.

In the extra session, Peanut Tuitele hit a pair of free throws 22 seconds in to give the Buffs a 66-64 lead but the Buffs would not score again, going the final 4:38 without a point.

Talia Von Oelhoffen's three-pointer with 18 seconds broke a 66-66 tie and gave Oregon St. the win.

Colorado never could find the touch from the floor. The Buffs shot only 36.9%, hitting 24-of-65 shots. Oregon St. shot 45.5% on 25-55.

The Buffs have lost 11 straight games to the Beavers. CU is 13-2, 2-2 in Pac-12 play. Oregon St. gets to 8-4, 1-1.
