#2 Stanford Hands #22 CU Its First Loss, 60-52

At some point, the winning streak was going to end.

The time came on Friday night for the #22 Colorado Buffaloes women's basketball team, which suffered its first loss of the season, coming up short against 2nd-ranked Stanford, 60-52, at the CU Events Center.

The Buffs started well and held a 15-8 after one quarter. The Cardinal was able to battle back and tie the game 41-41 after three quarters.

Stanford started the fourth quarter by outscoring the Buffs 12-4 and that was the key stretch.

Quay Miller led CU with 16 points. Peanut Tuitele chipped in 10 points.

CU is now 13-1, 2-1 in Pac-12 play. Stanford is 12-3, 3-0.
