#13 Tennessee Is Too Much For CU, 69-54

It's tough to win when you don't shoot well.

Especially against a top 25 team.

Chalk it up to a learning experience for the Colorado Buffaloes, who fell to the #13 Tennessee Volunteers, 69-54, Saturday at the CU Events Center in Boulder.

The Buffs were only 19-55 from the field (34.5%) and made on 4-of-17 three-point attempts.

CU started quickly, jumping ahead 8-0 in the first two minutes of the game. But Tennessee came back with an 11-2 run and led 11-10 with 13:19 left in the first half.

The Vols outscored the Buffs 18-7 over the final nine minutes of the first half and led 34-24 at halftime.

The closest Colorado could get in the second half was five points on several occasions.

Along with the shooting struggles, the Buffs committed 17 turnovers.

Evan Battey led Colorado with 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Buffs are now 6-3 while the Volunteers move to 6-1.
