The Colorado Rockies have their first member of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Tuesday, former Rockies outfielder Larry Walker earned induction into Cooperstown in his final year on the writers' ballot.

He will enter the Hall with former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, who garnered all but one of the 397 available votes. Walker passed the needed 75.0% mark by six votes, capturing 76.6% of the vote.

Walker spent 10 years with the Rockies (1995-2004) and made his mark as one of the members of the famed Blake Street Bombers. He broke into the big leagues with the Montreal Expos and spent six years playing in his native Canada. He spent the final year-and-a-half of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals.
