Sen. Gardner Calls For Vote On 9/11 Compensation After Holdup

Republican Senator Cory Gardner is calling for an immediate vote on the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund in the U.S. Senate. Gardner's demand comes after Republican Senator Rand Paul blocked an attempt to pass the bill with unanimous consent on the Senate floor yesterday. Paul cited the country's growing debt and argued that any new spending needs to be offset by cuts elsewhere. The bill is expected to pass before Congress leaves for their summer recess on August 2nd.
