10/18/24 Blog: Kamala Wilts and Trump Slays

THERE IS A BIG RALLY RIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION And I've got Natalee Tennant with Never Surrender on today at 2:30 for chat about it. The event at Pikes Peak International Speedway on November 2nd and it's featuring a rapper and a bunch of GOP candidates and I'll chat with Natalee about it today. RSVP and get your tickets.

BRET BAIER ASKED TOUGH QUESTIONS AND VP HARRIS DIDN'T ANSWER If you want to see how to filibuster by just saying a lot of words while not actually saying anything Vice President Harris gives a master class in this interview with Bret Baier. If you want to watch it you can, but trust me, you will learn nothing, and miss nothing if you don't watch it. It was a ratings gangbuster though.

BUT TRUMP CRUSHED IT LAST NIGHT AT THE AL SMITH DINNER The more people that see this the better chance he has of winning. Watch this.

It was so, so funny. My favorite part is Michael Bloomberg sitting stone faced through the entire thing. He looks like a horrible scoldy old man and it makes the whole thing ever funnier to me.

MY VOTER GUIDE IS OUT And you can find it here. PLEASE turn in your ballot! Just do it! Now!

THIS IS A ROUNDUP OF VOTER GUIDES In case you want more opinions than mine. Find a list of guides here!

DON'T LET THEM TAKE YOUR TABOR REFUNDS ANYWHERE If you have the chance on your ballot to let your municipality keep your TABOR refund please vote NO. These governments have been FLOODED with money in the last few years and now they are poor mouthing because they have been spending like drunken sailors. There is a Ballot Measure 1A in JeffCo, just say no. The Gazette explains why here.

POLIS CHOOSES DOUCHINESS I showed you the video of Aurora City Council member Danielle Jurinsky begging the Governor to call her so she could share some information about crime in Aurora with him during a City Council meeting. So what does the Governor do? Does he call her? Nope. He calls the cops and issues the most pansy ass pathetic statement in the history of the world.

“If the city council member is holding on to evidence of a crime, she should reach out to law enforcement immediately. The governor’s office takes any potential for evidence of a crime very seriously and alerted state law enforcement of the council woman’s comments about potential video evidence, and they have been in touch with the Aurora Police Department,” said Polis spokeswoman Shelby Wieman.

This is literally the douchiest move by the douchiest person in the world. I'd like to use harsher language but FCC and all.

HEY LOOK, MORE IMAGINARY GANG TAKEOVERS OF APARTMENT COMPLEXES This time in San Antonio, Texas, where the Tren De Aragua gang from Venezuela has taken over FOUR apartment complexes there. For a figment of Danielle Jurinsky's imagination they sure get a lot of stuff done.

NO, HOMELESS SWEEPS DON'T REDUCE CRIME And this is the least surprising study ever. A researcher checked crime statistics before and after sweeps of medium to large homeless encampments and they found that initially there was a dip for about week before crime and homeless people came back to the same areas. Of course just moving people around the city doesn't fix anything. Until we deal with addiction and mental health in a meaningful way we will never solve the problem.

ENJOY YOUR VIRGINS, AHOLE Great news out of Israel, the head of Hamas is taking the eternal dirt nap thanks to the IDF who insured he was in a building before blowing the building up and confirming the death of Yahya Sinwar using DNA. This is not the end of the war, but hopefully it will speed things along since there is no one left to direct the actions of what's left of Hamas. The got him in Rafah, which Kamala Harris decided they should not go into after "looking at a map". Watch this horse crap.

For those of you who have been demanding a cease fire, this ahole was refusing to negotiate.

And guess what? Sinwar's bodyguard was apparently a TEACHER with UNWRA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) which is the most corrupt of all the UN agencies, and that says a lot. Of course he was. Of course.

6TH GRADE CONSPIRACY THEORIES A teacher reports here which conspiracy theories her sixth graders believe. I share this to just underscore how stupid the notion that we should allow children to make lifelong medical decisions for themselves at a time when they think birds aren't real. One of the things these kids think shows the complete failure of our educational system.

THERE'S A DEBATE TONIGHT FOR THE 8TH CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICT And I'm not going to lie, the first one I watched did not impress me. Both candidates seemed unable to just answer the dang questions. If anyone knows Gabe well, please tell him to answer the dang questions because when these candidates go off on talking points instead of answering the questions it makes them seem disingenuous and untrustworthy and I don't think Gabe is either of those things. The political consultant class has got to stop telling candidates to not answer the dang questions. You can watch the debate tonight on CBS.

IF YOU NEED A REASON TO VOTE FOR TRUMP Read this column. It is so great in explaining things in a way that may make it easier to swallow. This is a taste:

Against this Everest of power madness and recurrent failure, a single argument is put forward in support of Harris’s candidacy: Donald Trump. Trump, we are told, isn’t just mistaken or bad. He’s a moral abomination—beyond the pale. All decent Americans thus have no choice but to vote the other way.
But the same thing would be said of anyone who opposed Harris. That’s how the forces of control function: “It’s either us or the death of Our Democracy.” Trump isn’t a moral abomination—or at least, no more so than Harris or Biden. He’s an ex-president, a politician with a known track record. If you strip away the moralizing narrative—the endlessly repeated inanities about dictatorship and insurgency—we are left with a flawed but semi-capable person. The world was at peace during his tenure. The economy boomed. I would happily accept the U.S. and the world of 2018 over that of 2024.
A more realistic charge lodged against Trump is that he’s an inveterate liar. This is certainly the case: The man spouts industrial amounts of nonsense. But in politics, everything is relative. The entire public character of the Biden administration rested on a colossal lie, in which Harris was complicit: that the president was a wise, energetic senior, fully engaged in the nation’s business. That massive deception, promulgated for years by an irresponsible media in defiance of the evidence of our own eyes, amounted to state propaganda, many orders of magnitude more destructive of trust than the worst of Trump’s outrages.
Trump is an agent of chaos, much as the Republicans are the party of chaos. At worst, he can do limited damage, since he lacks any purchase on the institutions. At best, he will slash to the ground the malignant harvest of the Biden-Harris years: the digital surveillance and censorship, the human flood at the border, the racial and sexual obsessions, the growing prostration of our military. If, from sheer animal intimidation, he can restore seriousness and discipline to the federal agencies in Washington, that would be a magnificent bonus.

I feel better now about voting for Trump.

THE RISE OF THE ROBOTS AT AMAZON Warehouse workers will have to change their skill set as Amazon begins replacing them with robots and AI. Amazon says that it will always need human workers to work with the robots, but they will need to develop skills to work on said robots when they go down. Robotics is the wave of the future, my friend. My question is, how soon before the robots learn to work on robots?

WILL THERE BE A WEALTH BREXIT IN THE UK? As liberals try to figure out new ways to soak the rich to fund their grandiose redistribution plans, the ultra wealthy are not taking this lying down. As the liberal Brits are working to figure out how to tax money earned OUT of Britain, many ultra wealthy people are simply leaving. This mirrors what Norway has seen since they instituted their wealth tax on the richest Norwegians. Super rich people have the ability to pull up stakes and simply move. It's arrogance to think they won't do it, but liberals keep trying.

THE COOLEST THING IN COLORADO Is a wheelchair addition that allows for off roading for people with mobility issues. It's really cool. See all the winners here.

DURANGO BANS POLITICAL FLAGS UNTIL THEY DON'T Durango banned Black Lives Matter and Pride flags in schools and then a bunch of activists showed up a school board meeting and they rescinded the ban. I've not seen action this fast since the Great Prohibition of 2022 where pot stores were gonna close for about two hours.

WHICH WAR HAD A PICNIC BATTLE? I knew the answer to this question but I thought this was worth sharing. Do you know? Find out here.

WHY TO VOTE FOR JUDICIAL OVERSIGHT This retired judge says yes, we need judicial oversight and yes, three Supreme Court justices must go.

VOTE REPUBLICAN TO SAVE COLORADO Because the Democrats are VERY CLOSE to a super majority in both houses and we see what they've done so far. A super majority means Governor Jared Polis's rare vetoes could be overridden, and considering he's only vetoed the very worst ideas put forth by the socialists in the party, we need to make sure those can stick. Read this for more.

Y'ALL I LAUGHED SO HARD AT THIS I love these two and this might be the best they've ever done.

WHY ARE THE FEDS SUING VIRGINIA FOR MAKING SURE NON CITIZENS CAN'T VOTE? Holy cow, you've got to read this one. Merrick Garland is suing Virginia, alleging they are violating the National Voting Rights Act by kicking non citizens off the voter rolls within 90 days of an election. Except they aren't. Read what they are doing here:

But there’s no violation in Virginia, Gov. Glenn Youngkin says. The state is cleaning up its voter rolls under a law signed in 2006 by one of his Democratic predecessors, then-Gov. Tim Kaine. This activity doesn’t violate federal law, Mr. Youngkin adds, because Virginia’s process is not systematic but individualized, based on self-reporting. Virginia has been doing this for 18 years, yet the Justice Department chooses now to object.
The process works like this: First, a resident at the Department of Motor Vehicles for some kind of license self-identifies as a noncitizen on an official form. As a result, Virginia checks its voter rolls to see if that same person is registered. If yes, Virginia notifies him that he has 14 days to affirm his U.S. citizenship, or else he will be taken off the voter rolls. Even if an eligible voter fails to respond to the notice and then gets removed in this way, he could always re-register, since Virginia lets its residents sign up to vote on Election Day.
Remember, it’s typically a crime for a noncitizen to cast a vote. According to an executive order that Mr. Youngkin issued in August, codifying Virginia’s ballot-security procedures, 6,303 noncitizens have been removed from the voter rolls since 2022. The Governor says that eligible voters have the right not only to vote, but not to have their ballots watered down by noncitizens voting.

Why is the DoJ suing NOW? I think I know the answer because there are a whole bunch of new immigrants in the US who aren't eligible to vote who are probably registered, that's why.

RURAL PEOPLE CAN'T MAKE COPIES Ever, because there are no copy machines in rural areas. Yep. It's true. Just like black people don't have id. This is what they really believe.
