KAMALA'S INTERVIEW WAS NOT GOOD And I haven't seen much coverage from the left which means they think it was bad too. She spoke in world salads and non-specifics, platitudes and nonsense. She is not at all capable of leading this country. I urge you to watch it below if you are waffling on this election. It is girding my loins to vote for Trump because this woman is truly an empty suit. There is no there there. Watch it for yourself.
DONALD TRUMP WON'T DO 60 MINUTES AND I HAVE HIS BACK ON THAT It's not because he's afraid to speak to anyone, it's because he's holding out for an apology for that time Leslie Stahl ran cover for the Democrats by telling the President that the laptop was Russian disinformation when Trump knew it was not. Trump had this to say about it.
I think 60 Minutes SHOULD apologize, because they were clearly wrong. It would go a long way towards showing the American people they actually care about getting things right. Of course no major media outlets who did the Democrats bidding have apologized that I'm aware of so this would be on brand.

ABOUT LIVING TO 150 Researchers are now saying that dreams of living to 150 are fantasy as we seem to have hit the limit of life expectancy already. Now I know that 65 now isn't remotely the same as 65 in 1900 so I'm not sure that I buy this but it's not crazy to say that living to 150 may be beyond our reach. WHY ARE PEOPLE OF FAITH SAYING THEY AREN'T VOTING? This would be bad news for Republican party mostly. Why aren't they voting?
The research also revealed some of the reasons that the Christians are not planning to vote in November, including a lack of interest in politics (68%), a dislike in both major party candidates (57%), and a belief that their vote will not make a difference (52%). A smaller percentage (48%) believe that the election results will be manipulated.
This voting bloc could easily swing the election as it's so large, but I honestly don't know how accurate this is, as most religious people I know do vote. Maybe I'm just around the wrong sort of religious people.
HOMELESS PEOPLE NOW HURTING BUSINESS IN FORT COLLINS And I would strongly recommend that Fort Collins get a handle on this before they end up like downtown Denver. The saddest part of this story is that only ONE business owner has enough courage to even talk about the problem. Read this:
Pullaro said she is just one of many business owners or residents in Old Town who have the concerns with some of the unhoused in the area. However, she said she is the only one willing to take on the pushback publicly.
That's just sad that Fort Collins is so intolerant that a business owner is afraid to speak out about what is hurting their business. We should be able to speak the truth without fear of retribution. It must be sad and scary to be a liberal. I'm being serious here.
ANOTHER FIRE PIT BURNS DOWN A HOUSE And this is two in two days. The first fire in Centennial was started in a rental home after a family used their fire pit on a wooden deck to make smores but did not fully extinguish the fire before going inside. Dumb. The second fire seems to have been started the EXACT SAME WAY, an unattended fire pit in a backyard. Dumb. Can we all make sure fires are out? Or better yet, don't start one when everything is a powder keg.
TOYOTA IS THE LATEST COMPANY TO DITCH DEI After the advocacy of a dude named Robby Starbuck, who is a man on a mission when it comes to unwoking companies in the US. Now Toyota has announced they are ending their DEI programs entirely:
Toyota Motor Corp., will refocus DEI programs and halt sponsorship of LGBTQ events, citing “a highly politicized discussion” around corporate commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion.
The Japanese carmaker told employees it will also end participation in notable rankings by LGBTQ advocacy group the Human Rights Campaign and other corporate culture surveys. The company will “narrow our community activities to align with STEM education and workforce readiness,” it said in a memo Thursday to its 50,000 US employees and 1,500 dealers.
Toyota says that Starbuck's posts on their activities was a "negligible" part of their decision making but his advocacy has lead to backtracking by numerous companies already. He's doing God's work.

YOU'RE TAKING YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE WRONG It is amazing to me that after ALL THESE YEARS of taking blood pressure readings no one has bothered to find out exactly HOW to take blood pressure to get the most accurate reading. This story says that you need to have your arm on a desk or table to get a good reading and if you leave your arm in your lap it can actually get a HIGHER reading leading to an overdiagnosis of high blood pressure. But this article from last September says that taking your blood pressure lying DOWN is the best way to see if someone is headed to a heart attack or stroke. Why? A study showed that people who ONLY had high blood pressure when they were lying down were actually at similar risk of a cardiac event as those who had high blood pressure while sitting up too. Read that here and how do we not have a handle on this already???
BREAST CANCER SURVIVAL RATES ARE WAY UP but unfortunately the media coverage focused on an increasing number of cases instead. Cancer is not the death sentence it used to be for many different kinds of cancer, so don't be afraid to get those screenings because the earlier you catch it, the better your chances of beating it are.

RACE RELATIONS: NOW VS 1960 And man is this good news for those who believe things are horrible now. Check out the results of a recent survey that asked the same questions asked in 1960 to really understand how far we've come.
In that book, he cited a 1960s Harris poll showing that 88% of White Americans would object if their teenage child dated a Black American. Additionally, nearly 80% would mind if a close friend or family member married a Black American and 50% would object to having a Black person as a neighbor.
A Napolitan News Service poll conducted September 18-19, 2024, found encouraging results when asking those same questions. Today, only 16% of White Americans would be concerned if their child dated a Black American, only 11% would be concerned if a close friend or relative married a Black person, and only 2% would be offended by having a Black neighbor.
