THIS AS THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE IS UPGRADING AFTER AN EPA FINE The EPA loves to do deep dives on industries they don't like and they recently cited the slaughterhouse in question for:
Deficiencies found by EPA’s inspection included failure to identify hazards using appropriate hazard assessment techniques, failure to design and maintain a safe facility to prevent releases and failure to minimize the consequences of accidental releases. The Superior Farms facility is subject to CAA regulations because it stores and processes anhydrous ammonia in its refrigeration system. The CAA's General Duty Clause applies to all facilities holding less than 10,000 pounds of anhydrous ammonia.
This settlement is part of EPA’s National Enforcement and Compliance Initiative to reduce risks from chemical accidents. The initiative focuses on improving compliance with environmental laws within the chemical manufacturing industry sector, where accidental chemical releases can pose serious risks to human health and the environment.
So to be clear, NO accidental release happened. And the company is voluntarily spending $250,000 to make sure there will never be an accidental release of ammonia, even though the EPA did not require any such action. Seems like they are working very hard to be a very good corporate neighbor. Just saying.

THE AVS AND NUGGETS ARE BACK ON TV And one wonders why Kroenke didn't do this sooner but okay. A deal has been struck to bring Avs and Nuggets games to fans two ways:
Altitude Sports — a Stan Kroenke-owned regional sports network (RSN) — announced Thursday it will release a direct-to-consumer streaming service in October called Altitude+. The subscription-based app will cost $19.95/month to access all Nuggets and Avalanche games not exclusive to a national network.
Kroenke Sports and Entertainment (KSE) also reached a broadcast agreement with TEGNA. Local stations 9NEWS and My20 will split 20 Nuggets games and 20 Avalanche games — with free over-the-air (OTA) broadcasts — during the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons.

He also said they would not let up on Lebanon as Israel will "continue degrading Hezbollah" and their ability to attack Israel. From his speech:
