I know sometimes there are really good reasons for not being able to take care of a pet anymore, but with this many it's hard to not think that some of these pets just became inconvenient. If you are one of those people dropping off an inconvenient pet you are not a good person or pet owner. Pets are a lifelong responsibility.

IS ECSTASY RIGHT FOR PTSD? There is a lot of discussion about that topic as the FDA is poised to rule on MDMA, commonly known as ecstasy, as a treatment along with talk therapy for PTSD. There is a LOT of support for this in the veteran community as studies have shown MDMA to be very helpful when used with intensive talk therapy. My concern is only that as we normalize the use of these drugs in a therapeutic setting we also normalize their use to kids. And ecstasy has been associated with an eight times higher risk of suicide in regular adolescent users. This is a tread carefully situation in my mind.
WHY ARE SOME DEM WOMEN SO MEAN? Rumors are flying about Kamala Harris being a horrible boss, Amy Klobuchar threw something at a staffer, and now our own Denver City Councilwoman Flor Alvidrez is being accused of being nasty. A former staffer says working there subjected her to:
a culture of bullying, inconsistency and misinformation, hostile work environment, favoritism, differential treatment, and retaliation,”
And this is the funniest response by a staffer to the allegations I've ever seen:
“The City Council and District 7 adhere to a policy of zero tolerance for illegal discrimination and retaliation and take every inquiry regarding alleged illegal conduct seriously,” Montoya wrote. “District 7 was advised that even if all of Ms. Johnson’s unsubstantiated claims were true, the behavior did not rise to the minimum legal threshold necessary for further action.”
Got that? It's TOTALLY not true but if it is, so what it's not illegal. Are there Republican women with reputations like this? I'm asking genuinely because I can't think of any.
