SO WHAT'S UP WITH PROJECT 2025? I ask it in that way because since Kamala was anointed the Democrat nominee with nary a vote cast you haven't heard much about it, have you? It's almost like the Democrats just grabbed onto the only thing they could think of when they knew their old addled candidate was going to lose and now that he's been dispatched in a coup they don't need to worry about it anymore. DEMOCRATS RAISED YOUR TAXES BY TAKING YOUR TABOR REFUNDS And they did so with a bunch of new tax breaks for people other than you. From the Independence Institute:
In other words, tax expenditure modifications passed in the 2024 session alone amount to a $3000 tax increase per tax filer over the next ten years, as this revenue would otherwise be returned through TABOR refunds.

KAMALA IS A NASTY BOSS According to the stories now coming out with some regularity. The latest is from a former unpaid intern who worked in her office for one month during the summer when she was Attorney General. Apparently she demanded her staff greet her with "Good Morning, General" which is borderline hilarious and kind of psychotic. She curses at staff a lot (to be clear, as a fellow curser I never curse AT someone, I only curse into the ether) and staff was too afraid of her to even introduce the intern to her by name. Oh, and no eye contact or speaking directly to her either. She sounds nice.
AND SHE LOVE SEGREGATION As evidenced by her two recent Zoom meeting fundraisers, which were for White Women and White Dudes ONLY. In the rather sad men's version yesterday Pete Buttiege said the quiet part about abortion which is that "men are more free" when women can kill the unfortunate consequences of sex.
He wasn't the worst from that, this dude decided to take on masculinity. I bet when he was putting his hair into a man bun this came to him.
VENEZUELA IS COLLAPSING And I've been talking about this day since I got a show in 2005. I didn't WANT their society to devolve into one where they ate zoo animals to stay alive but that is the inevitable end of socialist countries. Ilya Somin writes about the incongruous nature of socialism with democracy as the latest "democratic socialist" country is now aflame with protests as the ruling powers want to ignore election results to stay in power. Now the police are refusing to come to the aid of Maduro and are even taking off their uniforms in protest. Soldiers are greeting protesters they are supposed to be suppressing.
Socialist statues are being torn down.
Freedom may be coming back to Venezuela. It's going to be long slog but here's hoping the people there get to be free once again.
AURORA VENEZUELANS HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO I get it, if I had fled a country that was being driven into the ground by socialism for the US, I'd still pay close attention to what was happening there, and maybe I'd want to gather with a bunch of other Venezuelans to celebrate when the ruling regime fell, but good grief, people, don't leave a mess. There are some curse words in this video and I felt them too. Celebrate but clean up after yourselves for goodness sake. You don't want our country to look like yours, do you?

UNITED KEEPS MAKING THE TERRELL DAVIS THING WORSE As he showed the world an email he got saying he was banned from flying United until an investigation could be completed into the incident which saw him handcuffed and removed from a plane after he says he tapped the arm of a flight attendant to get a forgotten cup of ice for his son. United is not doing well here. Davis's attorney says he's getting ready to file suit. My question is why would he WANT to fly United?
OUR NATIONAL DEBT JUST TOPPED $35 TRILLION And no one running for President seems the least bit concerned about that, even though debt and out of control spending is what has brought down every free society before ours. But I'm sure it will be fine. Everything will be fine. Read more here.
THIS AS AMERICANS DO NOT HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE ECONOMY At least according to the latest Gallup survey. Not only is the economic outlook dire, 46% of Americans see the current economy as "Poor". That's why Democrats have stopped talking about the economy on the campaign trail. Gallup did something in this story that I've not seen them do before if I remember correctly. They had two charts, one being the "Recent Trend" and the other that you have to click to being the "Full Trend 1992-2024" and as you can imagine they are quite different. The full trend shows a period of time when Trump was in office where economic optimism shot through the roof. Check them out for yourself.
CONGRATS TO THE US MEN GYMNASTICS TEAM! They won the bronze medal last night, the first in 16 years. I've decided I am annoyed by the NBC evening coverage that only shows the Americans when they compete. It completely does away with the drama we used to feel watching all the other athletes. We only saw a few clips from the Chinese and Japanese teams that medalled ahead of us. I don't like it.
HEZLEY RIVERA WON'T BE COMPETING TONIGHT FOR THE WOMEN The coaches decided to sit the 16 year old gymnast and lean on the veterans Simone Biles, Suni Lee, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles to give the best shot for a gold medal. I have no doubt that barring injury we will see lots and lots of Hezley in the future even though this must be a huge disappointment for her. If the team medals, she still gets a medal though.
MEN WILL BE BOXING WOMEN IN THE OLYMPICS Because the Olympic committee sucks. Both of these boxers FAILED testosterone and genetic tests previously and were disqualified by the International Boxing Association but they will be able to beat up real women at the Olympics. I'm sure this will be fine and no one will get killed. I'm sure. It's not like boxing is dangerous, amiright?
