TRUMP'S IMMUNITY CASE IS KICKED BACK TO THE LOWER COURT But now before the Supreme Court held that a President has immunity from prosecution for official acts not not unofficial acts. They did not define the line between official and unofficial acts and sent that back to a lower court to decide. This means Trump will likely NOT face trial before the election. We'll see what happens next.

MEDICAID MISSION CREEP NEEDS TO BE REINED IN To be clear I am not opposed to making sure that people living with disabilities or illness have food and a place to live. But don't we have a myriad of programs to do that? Now some want Medicaid dollars to be used for food and housing for certain recipients and I have no reason to believe that if they do this it won't soon be extended to other people on Medicaid. Medicaid is designed to provide health care and long term care for people who can't afford it otherwise. It underpays physicians already, making it hard to find a specialist if you need one, and now they want to pay for housing and food? No. If we need to expand other programs that already exist elsewhere to serve this need do it. Don't let this mission creep erode what Medicaid is meant to do.
THAT LANDMARK RULING ON HOMELESSNESS WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR DENVER As the Mayor's office says they won't change a thing after the Supreme Court ruled that city's can ban and enforce a camping ban. They say the will continue to spend gobs of money warehousing people as they try to get them into permanent housing. Aurora says pretty much the same though their strategy is definitely tougher overall.

This past weekend Joe Biden did a bunch of fundraisers (where he used a teleprompter, wtf) and then headed to Camp David where his grifting family all urged him to stay in the race. Would you urge your father or husband to stay in the race after what we witnessed last week? Of course you wouldn't but you are grifting off the family name like his entire family seems to be. CAN SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT A "SEXUAL ENCOUNTER CENTER" IS? Because the mayor of Central City is trying to bring all manner of sin to the historic little gambling town in an effort to juice the economy. According to the Denver Gazette, the mayor is trying to bring strippers to Central City. But that's not all. Read this:
The proposal would also add adult arcade, adult cabaret, adult motel, adult motion picture, adult theater, nude model studio and a sexual encounter center into Central City code as permissible businesses.
Can someone please define "sexual encounter center"? The people of Central City are up in arms about this, as would be expected. Does Central City really want to be a little Sin City?
THE AURORA VA IS A MESS And I already know this because I have veteran friends who use it and I've heard the stories of them waiting eight hours to be seen. It should NOT be a mess and a recent Inspector General's report is hopefully going to have an impact and make things better. Apparently the leadership was atrocious and created an atmosphere where no one wanted to work there. Too bad because it cost like a kajillion dollars to build and is state of the art.
