MAMMOGRAMS SHOULD START AT 40 I am a bit conflicted on this new guidance that says mammograms should start for all women at 40. I'm conflicted because there is not sufficient evidence that mammograms actually help with survival rates from breast cancer. This study says they should be abandoned because they lead to overdiagnosis of cancers that would have never been a problem. This is one of those things that needs more study, not more mammograms.
