JEWISH STUDENTS SAY NO TO THEIR ANTI-SEMITIC UNION At MIT. The graduate students are forced to join the MIT Graduate Students Union as part of their matriculation at MIT. Unfortunately the union has taken numerous anti-Semitic positions and these Jewish students don't want to give money to an organization that hates them so they are suing to stop giving the union dues. What did he find so egregious? Was it her story outlining the mailer he sent out with party funds to benefit himself? If he doesn't like that he shouldn't abuse the state GOP for his own benefit. HOW ABOUT THOSE POWER OUTAGES THIS WEEKEND? My power didn't even flicker so I was unaware until this morning of just how extensive the power outages were because of high winds this weekend. Some schools are still closed today because of the outages and Xcel says they are still working to get everyone up and running today after shutting off power because of high winds and fire danger. I'm guessing after the Marshall Fire this will become the norm now. You can submit a bill for spoiled food at Xcel's website.

That giant piece of metal is not supposed to be like that. This is another black eye for Boeing and honestly gives me pause at this point before flying another 737 MAX aircraft. I sure hope that every airline that has these is going over them with a fine tooth comb because it doesn't look good for Southwest or any other airline with an incident either even though these seem to be happening to ONE kind of aircraft from ONE aircraft maker.
DON'T TAX BEER TO PAY FOR DRUG TREATMENT This is a great column by Jon Caldara on a bill being worked on at the Capitol which would charge beer and alcohol drinkers a "fee" (read: tax) on every drink they consume, ostensibly to pay for the drug treatment of a drug addict. WE AGREE ON FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS And not just a little, a LOT. Except when you get to the 2nd Amendment and then are are 22% of Americans who don't know why we have that amendment in the first place. See the chart in this article and then wonder why we are so divided? Why can't we find common ground with those across the aisle? I saw this story on the new movie Civil War this weekend and look how careful they are to not indict one side of the aisle or another while talking about it.

MUSLIMS ARE DELUDING THEMSELVES ABOUT HAMAS And in being willfully ignorant about the atrocities committed by Hamas on October 7th they are probably justifying their own anti-Semitism to make it seem palatable and acceptable. It is neither. Now we have polling not from the Gaza Strip, which we talked about a few weeks ago, but from the United Kingdom and I find this disturbing. From the Daily Mail:
Today's poll says 39 per cent of British Muslims said Hamas did not commit atrocities, while 37 per cent said they did not know whether they had or had not. Younger and well-educated Muslims appeared the most likely to think Hamas did not commit atrocities that day - including 47 per cent of those aged between 18 and 24 and 40 per cent of university graduates.
Researchers also found just over half, or 52 per cent, of British Muslims believed it should be illegal to show pictures of the Prophet Mohammed, as opposed to 16 per cent of the overall public. Some 32 per cent or almost a third of British Muslims questioned said they backed Shariah law in the UK in comparison to nine per cent of the general public, the Telegraph reported.
The poll also indicated 46 per cent of British Muslims and 16 per cent across the board felt Jewish people have too much power over UK government policy.
This isn't in a Muslim country, it's in Britain. If I'm British I'm highly concerned about this and wonder what to do to bring people into the fold before shariah law takes over. Now I wonder about American Muslims can we get a poll there too?
