Following the death sentence being handed down to the evil creature who gunned down innocents at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, I wanted to ask the rabbi if there is a "Jewish position" on the death penalty. I suspect, as with almost all things in Judaism, that the answer is "it's complicated."
