Mikhail Zygar is a Russian journalist—a scholar and a badass. He was a frontline combat journalist, speaks multiple languages and had to flee Russia after he circulated a petition against the invasion of Ukraine. Zygar was a founding editor of Dozhd, the only independent TV station in Russia, which was shut down for their anti-war stance. As a result, Zygar was labeled him a "foreign agent," and was forced to flee Russia.
His new book is War and Punishment: Putin, Zelensky, and the Path to Russia's Invasion of Ukraine
