WHAT IS THIS WERE DONALD TRUMP? The testimony that took place on Capitol Hill yesterday would be front page news if only it were Donald Trump, Jr being discussed. Yesterday two IRS whistleblowers, one a gay Democrat married to a man, took an oath to tell the truth and then testified to the myriad of ways that the IRS, DOJ, and FBI worked tirelessly to stymie their investigation into not only Hunter Biden's millions of dollars of foreign payments for literally doing nothing, but also how they shielded Joe Biden from even being MENTIONED, God forbid QUESTIONED when the trail led to his doorstep. This is an abuse of power far worse than the abuse of power that brought down Richard Nixon and yet the New York Times, which today has THREE stories on the front page of it's website today about Donald Trumps POTENTIAL indictments, buried ONE story about the Congressional hearing down on the politic page. The "reporter" covering the hearings did his due diligence and simply didn't report the most damning accusations that create a straight line to the White House. Just left them out of this story. This story from the Daily Mail gets into the sordid details of what went on, including that the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden fully supported felony charges, not the misdemeanor charges Hunter is going to plead guilty to next week. They said that they were forbidden from even MENTIONING Joe Biden's name, prevented from searching Biden's home where Hunter had been living, and was not allowed to speak to Joe Biden's ADULT grandchildren. This week it's also been revealed that LAST WEEK an attorney for the FBI did this:
told an agent investigating Hunter to dodge questions from the Oversight Committee regarding the First Son.
The agent, whose name was redacted, received the letter from FBI Counsel Jason Jones on Sunday – the day before they were set to testify before the Oversight Committee.
Jones told the agent to tell Oversight to 'instead refer such questions to the FBI's Office of Congressional Affairs.'
'The Department expects that you will decline to respond to questions seeking non-public information likely covered by one or more components of executive privilege or other significant confidentiality interests, in particular information about deliberations or ongoing investigative activity in law enforcement matters,' the lawyer added
THEY ARE STILL BLATANTLY TRYING TO COVER THIS UP and NO ONE in the mainstream media cares. I think Hunter Biden is a scumbag and frankly don't care about him and what happens to him. THAT TIME A DEMOCRAT BLEW JOE BIDEN'S LIE OUT OF THE WATER Another stunning event at these hearings involves a DEMOCRAT who was trying to be too clever and in the process destroying Joe Biden's ongoing claim that he "never" talked to Hunter Biden about his business dealings. That is patently false and you can read about it here. Too bad the Washington Post can't find this testimony compelling at all. They completely ignored the content of the hearings, as the ONLY story they have is one on idiot MTG's stunt.

CASA BONITA EMPLOYEES ARE NOT HAPPY And they have let ownership know via a letter demanding more certainty about hours and better information about benefits and such. They are not happy that just before Casa Bonita sort of re-opened (it's still not open seven days a week or for lunch) they were told they would not be getting tips, but a flat $30 an hour instead. They have a point about hours, as one can't plan when they have no idea when they will be getting enough hours to survive and many of them can't work enough hours to qualify for the planned benefits. I am guessing a union will show up shortly to "represent" them. Trey and Matt need to get it together and fast.
GOVERNMENT WORKERS SHOULD BE BANNED FROM USING DISAPPEARING MESSAGING APPS And this should happen immediately and be put into law. This after the revelation by two Democrats (who conveniently waited until AFTER the session where they allege it happened continuously, as George Brauchler writes here) that the messaging app Signal, which deletes messages after reading, was being used to discuss state business by Democrats. This is a move solely designed to prevent the People from being able to access messages sent about business that will affect them to skirt Colorado Open Meeting laws. If we had an educated electorate this might matter, but we don't. This story lays out why these apps need to be legally banned from usage now.

THE MAYOR SWUNG BIG AT HOMELESSNESS YESTERDAY After reading more about his announcement to declare a state of emergency and what he plans to do about using the "housing first" approach that requires zero accountability or sobriety from the people he is going to gift homes to, I believe this is going to lead to two things: the same number of homeless people dying of drug and alcohol overdoses and an increase in the number of homeless people. Once the word it out that you can get a free place to live in Denver we will get more of the same. Again, I hope so hard I am wrong about this.
READ ABOUT THE FAILURE OF THE HOUSING FIRST APPROACH HERE Because we've been doing this for twenty years now and homelessness has only increased dramatically. From the article, which has tons of links to the underlying studies on this:
"In one randomized-control trial in Ottawa, the homeless put in PSH had higher rates of substance use, mental illness, and death than people simply left on the streets.[11] We’ve seen similar results for mental illness. A chilling documentary on PBS showed that for many people with mental illnesses a permanent apartment increased social isolation.[12] More concerning, a survey of all PSH studies from the National Academies of Science found “that there is no substantial published evidence as yet to demonstrate that PSH improves health outcomes.”[13] Thus, PSH, on its own, is not an effective or cost-efficient tactic for improving the lives of the chronically homeless.[14] "
We are just getting people out of sight and asking for MORE homeless people with this strategy.
THIS IS PEOPLE LIVING IN A HOTEL FOR THREE YEARS HAVEN'T MOVED ON This story is a perfect microcosm of the failure of the Housing First approach and it's right here in Denver. A hotel that has been leased since 2020, so three years ago, for homeless people is ending the contract and those people, who have had THREE YEARS to get themselves together, say they have nowhere to go. I know they've had access to these vaunted "wrap around services" that we hear so much about, but they are just demanding "bridge" housing now. Funny they know the lingo to get more free housing but they can't do anything to move to somewhere they have to pay for.
I'm gonna talk about this today.
CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL NO LONGER OFFERING GENDER AFFIRMING SURGERY TO ADULTS They say they never offered such surgeries to minors but why is a children's hospital doing such surgeries for adults anyway? I find this story confusing to be honest, and I am a big fan of Children's Hospital and don't want them to face threats of any kind but I thought they were a hospital for kids so I'm perplexed. Can anyone offer any clarity here?
WANT SOME FREE JOB TRAINING? And these are the kinds of jobs that can become a great career. The state recognizes that some in demand jobs just don't have enough Coloradans properly trained to do them, so they are partnering with the community college system to help that happen. I'm a casual tennis fan, but even I know walking up to erase the ball mark of a call that is currently being disputed is really, really bad, and that is what Toth did. Her opponent crumbled and eventually retired from the match so Toth "won" but this can't be allowed in professional tennis. Yes, Toth is young, but that's not an excuse for being a total brat. Sportsmanship in professional sports is critically important and must be protected at all costs.
