Erik Petersen

(NSCD’s Competition Center Director/Coach)

Erik has trained more than 300 athletes in his time at the NSCD. He has more than 30 years’ experience in competitive ski racing and is a seven-time All American in Alpine Skiing. Currently, Erik is an International Paralympic Committee member as Head of Competition for North America and a member of Adaptive Sports Committee USA.

Kyle Moxley

Kyle was critically injured by an IED in Iraq. After complete nerve reconstruction on his right side he found his life had changed dramatically. He began learning adaptive sports and fell into Skiing. He can share his involvement with the NSCD.

Tom has been skiing at Winter Park for the past 30+ years. After an accident that occurred while mountain biking in 2012, Tom didn’t want to abandon sports. He had always seen and heard about NSCD over his many years at the resort and as soon as he was able, Tom joined up to relearn how to ski and compete. The NSCD gives Tom and all people with disabilities improved access to skiing and a competition program. Tom was a dentist before his accident but had to retire and is now active with a local Fort Collins nonprofit.
