Based on what Sean presented about what McCarthy has already committed to it seems that Boebert is trying to throw out the good for the perfect that doesn't exist. She is going to be the big loser here when all is said in done. She doesn't seem to understand that you never get everything you want and just because you don't like someone doesn't mean you get to throw a wrench into the whole system. When you look into who is voting against McCarthy a vast majority of them are from HARD RED districts who don't have to worry about compromise. This is why gerrymandering is really, really bad. Politics isn't about stomping your feet and demanding everything you want. It doesn't work that way and should never work that way. It's time to take "compromise" off the dirty words list. By the way, here is the letter sent in early December to Kevin McCarthy by several of the members who are holding things up, you'll notice Boebert mentioned the balanced budget amendment and border security, neither of which are in this letter. Are they moving the goalposts? We don't know because no one is telling us what was actually said in the meeting Boebert referenced in this interview. She's even lost the Denver Gazette on this one.
WHY MIGRANTS ARE POURING INTO DENVER This is a great column laying out all the ways Denver has made itself a very appealing destination for illegal immigrants breaking into the country. From Axios.com:

A DENVER COP IS INDICTED BUT... You can indict a ham sandwich. Officer Brandon Ramos faces a slew of charges related to a shooting in LoDo that injured several bystanders. I don't know everything about this case, but I've been following it since the story broke and I just don't see how a jury finds this guy guilty. We shall see, but this is another example of how a liberal DA has their priorities wrong in my opinion. This should have never been brought before a grand jury. Watch the video below, but be warned it is video of a guy getting shot after he grabs a gun out of his waistband as cops approach him. You can see how chaotic the scene was. Had the guy complied with orders, no one would have been shot. Indict the criminal in this case.
YOU NEED TO OPT OUT OF A STATE PARKS PASS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR IT This is a sneaky bit of business that if a private company did it, the government would be up in arms. I have a parks pass because I like to visit our state parks and I believe in user fees. Now, every vehicle in the state will be charged for a state parks pass AUTOMATICALLY unless you opt out at the time of registration. This is shady as hell in my opinion. I love our state parks but don't think you should have to pay for them if you don't use them.
POLIS WANTS TO REWARD PEOPLE WHO DO WHAT HE WANTS He is suggesting a lot of tax credits to get people to move from gas powered stuff to cleaner energy stuff. As long as these are tax credits, I'm cool with it, it just lets people keep their own money, but I don't like that these tax credits are only available for people who bend to his will.
WHY DENVER WON'T EVER GET A SUPER BOWL This is a long article that outlines the many reasons why Denver has not and will not host a Super Bowl, but let me tell you the real reason. Sports writers and reporters and pundits do not like cold weather for the Super Bowl. They use that week to play golf and do a bunch of other stuff, and they HATE it when it's cold. I was at the Ice Bowl in Atlanta many years ago and you would not believe the level of bitching that went on that week. Still, this is a good explanation and worth your time.
THE BOULDER LIBRARY IS METH FREE! Which means it can re open today, which is good news for those who just want books and not a dose of methamphetamine, which was found in the air ducts in the bathrooms. What I'd like to know is how they are going to prevent this from happening again. Yes, there is an election in 2024 in which all House members will have to run for another term and half of the Senate will be up for grabs, but Republican and Democratic leaders acknowledge the math means Republicans are likely to remain in the minority through at least another election cycle.
Additionally, all four state-level statewide offices — governor, attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer — will be held by Democrats until 2027.
Democrats know they have four years to get their agenda done, and they say they intend to take their time in crafting bills.
