Losses do not get much worse.
Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams dominated the Denver Broncos from start to finish in a 51-14 beatdown at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson threw interceptions on each of the Broncos first two possessions and the Rams cashed the turnovers into a pair of touchdowns to take a 17-0 lead with 4:45 left in the first quarter.
Rams running back Cam Akers rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns while the Rams defense came up with four interceptions, three of Wilson and one of back-up Brett Rypien who entered the game with just over six minutes left in the fourth quarter. Decobie Durant returned the pick of Rypien 85 yards for the touchdown that capped the scoring.
"That was embarrassing. I'm embarrassed," Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said after the game.
The Rams led 31-6 at halftime and 34-6 after three quarters before adding on 17 points in the fourth quarter.
The Broncos only touchdown came on an 11-yard pass from Wilson to tight end Greg Dulcich with 8:38 remaining.
The Broncos slip to 4-11 and will play at the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, January 1. Coverage starts at 7 a.m. MST on KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
