It is nearly time for the Denver Broncos to open the 2022 regular season.

They will do so on the road against the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football on September 12.

Coach elected to sit most of his starters during the preseason. He believes in that approach but still wonders how his guys will play in game one on Monday night.

"Oh, of course," Hackett said on Colorado's Morning News on KOA. "We haven't all been through it together yet. You're always nervous about that. When I look back at the preseason, I look at it and say, 'Would one drive have been able to determine how an entire game would have played out?' That's why I always look at that risk-reward. You can't really say that one drive is going to prepare you for an entire football game in a real, live situation on Monday Night Football in Seattle."

"For this [opener], there is a lot of uncertainty, there are a lot of questions. I'm excited to get those questions answered," Hackett said.

Coach Hackett joined Marty Lenz and Mike Rice on Colorado's Morning News on KOA on Friday, September 9.
