Thankfully, this was only a preseason game.

Even still, the Denver Broncos come out of it with plenty of things to shore up.

Saturday, the Broncos fell to the Buffalo Bills, 42-15, at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

After Brandon McManus hit a 33 yard field goal to give the Broncos a 3-0 lead after their first possession of the game, the Bills quickly got their offense in gear. They would score a touchdown on their first six series and opened up a 42-6 lead before the Broncos closed the game with McManus' 55 yard field goal and a one yard touchdown pass from Brett Rypien to tight end Eric Saubert.

Rypien finished 22-of-26 for 191 yards and a touchdown. Josh Johnson started the game at quarterback for the Broncos and was 8-of-16 for 70 yards.

The Bills dominated the game and the final statistics reflected it. Buffalo outgained Denver 510 yards to 274. And the Bills only had three snaps on third or fourth down the entire game.

The Broncos are 1-1 in the preseason and will close out the preseason with a home game against the Minnesota Vikings on Saturday, August 27. Coverage of the game starts at 4 p.m. MDT on KOA 850 AM and 94.1 FM.
