Make no mistake, Tiger Woods is no fan of LIV golf.

Tuesday at St. Andrews, Scotland, site of the 2022 Open Championship, the 15-time major champion said he disagrees with the golfers who have bolted the PGA Tour for the LIV series.

"What they've done is turn their back on what has allowed them to get to this position," Woods said. "Some players have never even had the chance to experience it. They've gone right from the amateur ranks right into that organization and never really got a chance to play out here and [know] what it's like to play a tour schedule or to play in some big events."

Woods also referenced the uncertain future of LIV golfers being allowed to play in major championships and earn world ranking points, the 54-hole LIV events and more.

Furthermore, Woods believes the joining LIV is more a chase for cash and takes away the accomplishment of grinding out success on the PGA Tour.

"These players are doing it for guaranteed money. What is the incentive to practice? What is the incentive to earn it in the dirt? You're getting paid a lot of money up front. I just don't see how that move is positive in the long-term for a lot of these players, especially if the LIV organization doesn't get world ranking points and the major championships change their criteria for entering events. It'd be sad to see some of these young kids never get a chance to experience it and walk these hallowed grounds and play in these championships."

The 150th Open Championship begins on Thursday, July 14.
