Nikola Jokic just might be super-human.
There is no doubt he is playing at a super-human level.
The Denver Nuggets centered continued his recent run of incredible play in a 129-118 win over the Los Angeles Lakers in L.A. on Sunday, April 3.
Jokic scored 38 points (15-22 from the field, 8-11 from the free throw line), hauled down 18 rebounds and dished out six assists. He has scored 35 or more points in four of his last five games and has had 18 or 19 rebounds in three of his last five.
The Nuggets actually trailed 28-24 after one quarter and held a slim 95-94 lead heading into the fourth quarter. But they outscored the Lakers 34-24 in the final period.
Will Barton added 25 points and was 6-8 from three-point range. Aaron Gordon had 24 points and eight rebounds.
Jokic's terrific play again enabled the Nuggets to jump over the Utah Jazz into fifth place in the Western Conference. Denver has three games left in the regular season.
The Nuggets start a three-game homestand to end the regular season against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. MDT.
