Aaron Rodgers going back to the Green Bay Packers?

No problem for the Denver Broncos.

They simply drew up an impossible scenario and made it happen.

Again.

For the second time, the Broncos have landed a coveted, elite quarterback.

Russell Wilson is coming to Denver.

Multiple reports say the Broncos and Seattle Seahawks have reportedly worked out a deal that will send Wilson to the Mile High City.

KOA Broncos Insider Benjamin Allbright reports the Broncos will get Russell Wilson and a fourth round draft pick. The Seahawks will get two first round picks, two seconds, a fifth, QB Drew Lock, DL Shelby Harris and TE Noah Fant.

KOA's Brandon Krisztal reports the Broncos will send one of their second round picks this year (no. 41 overall) and their second round pick in 2023 to the Seahawks. Denver will still have the second round pick they acquired from the Rams (no. 64 overall) in the Von Miller trade.

In 2012, the Broncos signed free agent quarterback Peyton Manning, who led them to four straight AFC West championships, two Super Bowl appearances and a Super Bowl 50 title.

Wilson, 33, will now get his chance to see what he can do with Denver.

As Manning had spent all of his career with the Indianapolis Colts prior to signing with the Broncos, Wilson has been with the Seahawks since they drafted him in the third round (75th overall) out of Wisconsin in 2012. Wilson played his first three years of college football at North Carolina State.

Wilson is coming off a 2021 in which he threw for 3,113 yards with 25 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

In his 10-year NFL career, Wilson has amassed 37,059 yards and 292 touchdowns. He has made the Pro Bowl in nine of his ten seasons.

Wilson led the Seahawks to a 43-8 win over the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2, 2014 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The next season, Wilson and the Seahawks came up just short in a 38-24 loss to the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLIX.

This year, Seattle finished with a 7-10 record.

The Broncos have been searching for another great quarterback since Manning retired after Super Bowl 50.

In 2021, Teddy Bridgewater won the starting job over Drew Lock. Bridgewater threw for 3052 yards with 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions in 14 games as the starter.

While the rest of the roster has been improving, the Broncos have been lacking their next great quarterback.

With Wilson in the fold, the Broncos should not only be a team that makes the playoffs, but one that has the ability to make a deep run.

As it was when the Broncos signed Manning, that’s plan.

Super Bowl LVII will be played on February 12, 2023 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.
