CU Drops Stanford, 70-53, For Third Straight Road Win

Don't look now but the Colorado Buffaloes have some momentum.

CU finished off a three-game sweep of its road trip with a 70-53 win over the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday night at Maples Pavilion in Palo Alto, California.

After leading 31-29 at halftime, the Buffs pulled away thanks to a key 23-5 run over a span of 10:14 in the second half. The Buffs went from being down 45-42 to ahead 65-50 with 2:09 to go.

Five Buffs scored in double figures, led by Evan Battey, who had 15 points. Nique Clifford added 14 points and seven rebounds, while Jabari Walker, Keeshawn Barthelemy and K.J. Simpson each scored 10 points.

CU shot 52.2 rom the floor on 24-46, including 6-13 from three-point range.

The Buffs head home with road wins over Oregon St., Cal and Stanford this week.

CU is now 18-9, 10-7 in the Pac-12 while Stanford is 15-12, 8-9.
