CSU Pulls Away For An 83-68 Win At New Mexico

The Colorado State Rams knew they could play better after one half.

In the second half, the Rams turned it on in the second half and raced past the New Mexico Lobos, 83-68, Thursday night at The Pit in Albuquerque.

CSU was down 42-40 at halftime but they would outscore the Lobos 43-26 after intermission.

Trailing 51-50, CSU went on a 17-6 run over an eight-plus minute span and held a 67-56 lead with 7:09 to go.

David Roddy was tremendous, scoring 31 points on 14-20 shooting. He added nine rebounds. Isaiah Stevens had 12 points and seven assists, with only two turnovers in 39 minutes.

The Rams are now 21-3, 11-3 in the Mountain West Conference. New Mexico is 11-15, 3-9.

It is crowded at the top of the conference. Boise St. leads with an 11-2 record, then Wyoming is 10-2 with CSU right there at 11-3.
