The CU Women Stumble At Home Against Utah, 78-67

CU forward Mya Hollingshed certainly did what she could.

But it was not enough to get Colorado a second straight win over Utah. The Buffs fell, 78-67 Sunday at the CU Events Center.

Hollingshed poured in a career-high 28 points but the Utes simply had too much.

Utah got out to a 22-12 lead after one quarter. The Buffs closed to within 34-31 at halftime but then struggled in the third quarter.

Utah got the better of the Buffs 26-19 in that quarter.

CU was trying to back up its 66-62 overtime win over Utah in Salt Lake City on Friday with another victory over the Utes.

Hollingshed added seven rebounds to her big scoring output. Friday Formann chipped in 12 points for the Buffs.

Colorado is 14-5, 3-5 in conference play. Utah is now 11-7, 2-4
