The search is over.

Nathaniel Hackett is set to become the new head coach of the Denver Broncos. KOA's Brandon Krisztal confirmed the report from Tom Peliserro of the NFL Network.

Hackett's contract, which is being finalized, is reportedly for four years.

Hackett, 42, emerged from a 10-person pool of candidates to be the one to take over the reigns of the Broncos after the organization and Vic Fangio parted ways on January 9.

Hackett comes to the Broncos after spending three years as the offensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers. Green Bay was 39-10 in the last three regular seasons.

Hackett was on the Jacksonville Jaguars staff from 2015-2018, serving as offensive coordinator from 2016-2018. He helped lead the Jaguars to the AFC Championship game and a near-upset of the heavily-favored New England Patriots.

He also has NFL experience with the Bills and Buccaneers. On the college level, Hackett has been with Syracuse, Stanford and UC Davis.

Broncos general manager George Paton made the final call on hiring Hackett.

Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Dan Quinn and Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O’Connell were believed to be the other two candidates on the Broncos list of finalists after the initial 10 interviews.
