Tuesday night, the Denver Nuggets made a move to acquire some offensive punch in a three-team deal with the San Antonio Spurs and Boston Celtics.
ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski broke the trade, in which the Nuggets picked up guard Bryn Forbes from the Spurs and sent center Bol Bol and forward P.J. Dozier to the Celtics. The Spurs acquired forward Juancho Hernangomez from the Celtics.
Forbes is averaging 9.1 points in 40 games for the Spurs this year. He is a good three-point shooter, converting 41.7% (63-151). In his six-year NBA career, Forbes shoots 41.3% from beyond the arc.
Forbes, 28, spent his first four years with the Spurs before playing with the Milwaukee Bucks last year. His 154 three-pointers were most on the team. He rejoined the Spurs for the 2021-2022 season. He played college basketball at Michigan St.
The Nuggets are 22-20 and sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference. They host the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday, January 19 at 8 p.m. MST.
