I'm a little bleary-eyed today. I don't know for sure that it was because of the time change but I hardly slept at all last night. Don't worry, I'll gather up all of my energy for the day and use it during our three hours together today! I hope you had a great time-change weekend.

When I first heard Michael Cannon, the Cato Institute's Director of Health Policy Studies, talk about the right way to use Health Savings Accounts, I sorta did a "face-palm", wondering "why didn't I think of that?" There really is a best way to use an HSA, especially if you can still afford to pay your medical bills another way while still funding your HSA. Michael explains how great (although still not perfect) HSAs are...things that most people don't know about.
JeffCo parent and co-leander of JeffCo Kids First, Beth Parker, joins us to talk about a blockbuster report from a consulting firm which was hired to audit Jefferson County schools' capital spending programs, funded by taxpayer-approved bonds. Let's just say there's probably a reason that the report didn't come out until after the election. Here's the report link.
After mayhem and death at a concert in Houston, the inevitable lawsuits
(And I have to say I think the lawsuits may have merit given the ridiculous lack of crowd control in a situation easily foreseeable to get out of hand.)

Will Biden get credit?
With the help of 13 Republicans who voted for the bill, the House of Representatives passed the $1.2 "infrastructure" bill that will, among other things, fund "free" preschool. Because babysitting is infrastructure. Conservatives are furious with those GOP members who voted yes, and for the record if I were in concert I would have voted no, but having this bill pass, while stupid policy, may not be bad for Republicans. Not saying I'm in absolute agreement but it's worth thinking about: David Marcus: 13 House GOP votes for infrastructure bill helps conservatives. Here's how | Fox News

The Trump-Russia hoax was even worse than we thought...and the FBI knew it
When even the Trump-hating Washington Post says this, you know it's serious: “The allegations cast new uncertainty on some past reporting on the dossier by news organizations, including The Washington Post.”

Today's Video
My middle-school kid sent me this. It's several years old and I hadn't seen it but it has over 24 MILLION views and represents (mostly) a sentiment that many many more Americans, including clearly African-Americans are waking up to. (To be fair, a lot of black folks were already well on board with the idea that public schools are failing their children; thus the big support for school choice in black communities.)
