ASPEN HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DON'T LIKE THE FIRST AMENDMENT And as they probably aren't being taught what happens when speech is controlled by a central authority (Hey there, China!) they are pushing for censorship for a group of students who believe in the Bible and did a podcast on being gay through that lens. They weren't hateful, they simply said that homosexual thoughts were a sin and that one should love those struggling with sexual identity. Do I agree? No. But I support their right to say so. Aspen High students do NOT support that. Thankfully the school's principal did the right thing by doing nothing. A meeting between the kids who did the podcast and kids who were upset by it did take place, though some students say the school should have done something harsher.
AN AUDIT OF CDOT CALLS INTO QUESTION THE COZY RELATIONSHIP WITH AN OUT OF TOWN COMPANY The company Kraemer North America has been awarded pretty much every large road construction job in Colorado, even though they are always over budget and behind schedule and often millions of dollars more expensive. Why? That's the question being answered by an audit of CDOT's practices called for by the bipartisan Legislative Audit Committee. They want to know why this Tokyo based company gets the jobs when all the issues I listed above still exist. We shall see.
WHEN THE EXPERTS DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD We've talked pretty extensively about the "experts" who we are supposed to believe during the pandemic and how much damage they have done to the expert class. An emailer asked how so much many conservatives could be so disbelieving of the experts. This column is why. It's long and worth every minute. We give experts too much power and too little oversight in this country and it's not going well.

Let's go Brandon! Considering that the fourth quarter nearly always shows slower growth then the third, this can't be good news for Biden and his "economic" team. The Wall Street Journal says supply chain issues are a big issue, but read below for more on that.
SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES ARE THE RESULT OF BIG AND OVERREACHING GOVERNMENT This is a great column that points out the simple truth that when "experts" and politicians meddle in the markets they inevitably screw it up. The supply chain issues we see right now aren't because of any reason other than the meddling of such people in the economy using covid as an excuse. Just like the government is responsible for inflation, they are responsible for the mess that may keep Christmas gifts off store shelves.

COLLEGE STUDENTS DEMAND THE REMOVAL OF A SCHOLAR FOR AN UNPOPULAR TWEET And this shows just how badly kids are being taught things like the 1st Amendment these days. The tweet took issue with Superman's son being bisexual and the scholar asked why we have to sexualize everything for kids, which is a great and valid question. The students held a protest or some such nonsense. Academic freedom is dead.
AND COLLEGE STUDENTS ALSO SUPPORT VIOLENCE TO SHUT DOWN SPEECH THEY DON'T LIKE Colleges are producing little authoritarians on the daily and this survey should give you all pause. One in four college students surveyed support using actual violence to shut down speech they don't like. The most interesting part is that the dictators are most heavily represented in America's top colleges and that the survey found that when Administration came out strongly in favor of free speech it was more likely to be tolerated on campus.
A WHITE MAN JUST WON A HUGE LAWSUIT FOR DISCRIMINATION And this should give pause to any company wanting to create more diversity by replacing qualified white men with women or minorities. It happened in North Carolina and when the white man was fired for literally NO reason so his job could be divided between two women, he sued and was awarded ten million bucks.

EVEN SOME VACCINATED PARENTS ARE HESITANT ABOUT THE SHOT FOR YOUNG CHILDREN And this is significant because it means at least a third of people who are vaccinated themselves are paying attention to the fact that children are largely not significantly affected by covid.
