Mike's life has been about early detection. Thanks to early and diligent testing, he and his doctors were able to catch and successfully treat both prostate and colon cancer. In the 1990s, both of Mike's parents were diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease. So when he noticed memory issues at age 66, he saw a doctor and was diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment. Realizing his early diagnosis gives him time, he is now part of the Alzheimer's Association's legislative advocacy team and a member of the Association's Early Stage Advisory group. Mike's life has been about never backing down from a challenge. He has remade his career several times and most recently worked in investments. He was an off-road racer and is currently an active skier.
