The City of Denver shutdown Lincoln Park on Wednesday to conduct a massive clean up of the area where homeless campers had recently pitched their tents.
The Deputy Executive Director of the Department of Public Health says the park was posing a risk. Ann Williams told KOA drug syringes, human feces, trash and food waste only made a rodent infestation worse.
Rat holes can be seen at the base of many of the trees in the park.
As part of ther cleanup, Williams said it would be necessary to remove the campers.
